When we sort books, we keep all books that are in good condition. We share these books with our community partners and ask them to review all reading material before distribution to the children they serve. They are welcome to return any books to us that they do not need or approve. So far, we have never had any books returned to us. But this got us interested in learning the facts around Florida's HB1467, otherwise known as Florida's Banned Books Law.
Check out Natasha's research abstract on HB1467.
Natasha shared her opinions in an op-ed "Banned Books: The Misconceptions, the Media and the Mentality Behind Florida's HB1467" in August 2024.
